O ver 30 years,

Gift Shop

Over 30 years ago, Edith Landau had a vision: to have a shop that would serve the residents at the Louis Brier Home. With the help of Miriam Matoff, these two ladies worked tirelessly and the Louis Brier Gift Shop became a reality. Today we have twelve wonderful, committed volunteers who staff the shop 6 days a week from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm. The Gift Shop carries a diverse selection of items, including an assortment of Judaica: mezzuzot, kipot, tallitot, and candlelabras. The shop also carries toiletries, handbags, tote bags, and beautiful assortment of scarves, magnetic necklaces and bracelets, as well as the basic necessities, chocolates, chips, drinks and ice cream (all strictly kosher).

All of the proceeds from sales at the Gift Shop are put back into the Home. New volunteers are warmly welcomed. If you are interested and able to commit a few hours every week or two, please call Louis Brier Reception at 604-261-9376 ext. 4000 and ask for Goldie in the Gift Shop.
